Overview

Senographe is one of the most versatile mammography systems available, and the Senographe DS is no exception. With the addition of the stereotaxy option, you can perform interventional procedures in the same room and with the same system you use for screening and diagnosis.

The Senographe DS offers you flexibility and clinical choices to help manage your patients according to your preferences, with the same exceptional imaging you’ve come to expect from GE’s mammography systems. If you prefer a standard field of view system, the Senographe DS meets your needs. It is also an excellent addition to mammography sites with multiple systems because it offers the flexibility of a different detector size.

This cost-effective system is quick and easy to set up, helping you to transition smoothly from conventional to interventional imaging. And that can lead to increased comfort and convenience for your patients and improved efficiency and productivity for you.

The Senographe DS helps simplify the clinical exam process while addressing your individual needs and preferences—allowing you to focus less on technology and more on your patient.

It helps you because it:

  • Has an intuitive and convenient user interface.
  • Offers fast positioning.
  • Offers one-touch motorized positioning for cranio-caudal views and oblique views.

Senographe DS can provide a less stressful mammography experience by helping to:

  • Improve comfort.1

Technology

Every Senographe mammography system uses the same integrated image chain. GE is the only imaging vendor that owns the image chain from start to finish. From x-ray tube to detector to image-reconstruction software, every component contributes to high image quality at optimum dose for each patient’s breast composition.

Senographe DS offers:

Outstanding Image Quality

  • Enhanced Detective Quantum Efficiency (DQE).
  • Molybdenum/Rhodium dual track tube.
  •  Automatic Optimization of Parameters (AOP) that transparently selects all exposure parameters based on breast radiological properties.
  • Three AOP modes that enable flexibility in dose management.
  • Enhanced conspicuity with Fine View and improved contrast with Premium View*.

Seamless Digital Workflow Connectivity

  • AutoQAP Quality assurance programs help ensure consistent image quality while minimizing the workload. Most weekly and monthly tests are automatically scored and saved by the systems, which can help increase your productivity.
  • Automated repeat-reject analysis (RRA) software allows you to indicate the reason for rejected images and saves this data to a downloadable file for quality control purposes.

Interventional

Senographe Essential Interventional and clinician.

The Senographe add-on interventional is a flexible solution for screening and diagnostic mammography and breast biopsy.  It can be added to GE's Senographe Essential and Senographe DS systems and is designed to help improve clinical confidence, accuracy, and comfort in biopsies. In as little as a few minutes, you can transform your digital mammography system into a biopsy system.

In one room, with one detector and one user interface, you can perform screening, diagnostic, and interventional studies. Just slide the add-on interventional unit onto your Senographe Essential, and you’re ready to perform breast biopsies. With GE’s add-on interventional system, you can conduct screening, diagnostics and interventional procedures in the same room—keeping your system operational for as much time as possible and helping reduce costs associated with an interventional-only room.
